Swarnkar community leaders hoist the Tricolour and give a message of national unity and integrity
Amritsar, August 16 (Sandeep Singh Raju) — Swarnkar Sangh-1 Punjab celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at Guru Bazaar Chowk, Attari, on the occasion of August 15. Leaders of the association and members of the Swarnkar community hoisted the Tricolour and paid tribute to the freedom fighters and martyrs who made sacrifices for the independence of the country.
President of the All India Swarnkar Sangh Kashmir Singh Rajput was specially present on the occasion. Also present were Punjab Swarnkar Sangh President Ashwani Kumar Name Shah, Dimple Rajput, Ashwani Kale Shah, Surjit Sahijra, Maninder Singh, Naresh Kumar Jangi, Rajinder Kumar Judge, Sarabjit Singh Raja, Sandeep Singh Raju, Jaspal Singh Dhunna, Lakhbir Singh Lakha, Savi Nischal, Inderjit Bobby and Luthra Ji from Batala, along with several prominent personalities and members of the Swarnkar community.
Call to Unite for the Progress of the Nation
Addressing the gathering, the leaders said that August 15 is not merely a celebration but also a day to remember the great martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country’s freedom. They said that due to the sacrifices of the freedom fighters, people are able to live in a free country today. Therefore, it is everyone’s responsibility to contribute towards strengthening the country’s unity, integrity and communal harmony.
Emphasis on Unity of the Swarnkar Community
The leaders said that the Swarnkar community continues to play an important role in the progress of society and the country. They encouraged community members to strengthen mutual unity and cooperation and contribute actively to social welfare initiatives.
On the occasion, all the leaders and members present took a pledge to uphold the unity and integrity of the nation. A wave of enthusiasm and patriotic spirit was visible among the members of the Swarnkar community during the programme.
