DSP Sushil Kumar Honoured for Outstanding Services
Amritsar, July 24 (K.L. Jit Walia): Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sushil Kumar, posted with the Anti-Narcotics Border Range, was specially honoured for his commendable services in the Punjab Police.
On the occasion, Narinder Kumar Tinu, Chief Sevadar of Hazrat Baba Jahra Pir Dargah, Arun Mahajan, Chairman of Nav Nirman Society, Dr. Angrez Singh, Rajesh Sharma, Bharat Khanna, Manager of a healthcare insurance company, Gurinder Singh Mattu, President of the social welfare organisation Maan Dhian Te, along with other dignitaries, felicitated DSP Sushil Kumar by presenting him with a bouquet and a ceremonial saffron shawl.
During the ceremony, members of the delegation expressed concern over the increasing drug trafficking in the Border Range and urged the police to take stringent action against drug smugglers. They stated that only strict enforcement could protect the youth from falling into the trap of narcotics.
Addressing the gathering, DSP Sushil Kumar said that drug traffickers are now under the close watch of the police and strict legal action will be taken against anyone found involved. He emphasized that the Anti-Narcotics Department is working with full commitment to dismantle drug trafficking networks and that no offender will be spared.
He also appealed to the public to cooperate with the police in building a drug-free society. He urged citizens to share any information related to drug trafficking without fear, assuring that public support is essential to eliminate the menace of drugs from society.
