Amritsar, July 22 (K.L. Jit Walia):Gaurav Aggarwal, President of the Aam Aadmi Party Virasat Seva Sangathan, Amritsar District, described the alleged examination paper leak cases in the country as a matter of serious concern. He said that controversies surrounding examinations such as NEET have shaken the confidence of millions of students and their families. He added that when the future of the country’s youth comes under question, accountability must be ensured.
Gaurav Aggarwal stated that maintaining transparency and public trust in the education system is the responsibility of the Central Government. He said that if repeated incidents of alleged irregularities and paper leaks are taking place in examinations, then Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan should resign on moral grounds.
He further alleged that while students are peacefully protesting to safeguard their future and rights, the Central Government is attempting to suppress their voices through police action instead of addressing their concerns. He said that India is a democratic country where every citizen has the constitutional right to express their views peacefully, and using force against students is contrary to democratic values.
Aggarwal said that the youth are the future of the nation, and it is the government’s responsibility to resolve their issues through dialogue rather than force. He urged the government to conduct a fair and time-bound investigation into the alleged paper leak cases so that strict action can be taken against those responsible and students’ confidence in the examination system can be restored.
He added that the Aam Aadmi Party has always stood in support of students’ rights and a transparent education system. He appealed to the Central Government to seriously consider the legitimate concerns of students and take concrete steps to eliminate corruption and irregularities from the country’s education system.
