45-member international delegation led by Prof. Dr. Criteria Grobler welcomed by Protocol Officer Arun Mahal
Amritsar, July 5 (Uppal): A 45-member international delegation led by Prof. Dr. Criteria Grobler from Sector-3 of Nelson Mandela University, South Africa, visited the Attari Border on Saturday. The delegation included representatives from Thailand, Nepal, Taiwan, South Africa, Singapore, Malaysia, Brazil, Poland, and several other countries.
Upon their arrival at the Attari Border, Protocol Officer Arun Mahal warmly welcomed the delegation and briefed them on the India–Pakistan international border, border security arrangements, and the significance of the Beating Retreat Ceremony.
The delegates highly appreciated the discipline, courage, and dedication of the security personnel deployed at the border. They described the daily Beating Retreat Ceremony at Attari as thrilling, impressive, and deeply inspiring.
During the visit, the foreign guests showed keen interest in Indian culture, patriotism, and the country’s border security system. They termed the visit a memorable experience and also praised India’s warm hospitality.
