Large Gathering of Traders Held at Jandiala Guru; SSP Kawalpreet Singh Chahal and DSP Baljit Singh Also Participate
Amritsar, June 7 (K.L. Jit Walia, Bhullar, Malkit Singh): The Punjab Government has intensified its grassroots efforts through the Trader Commission to address traders’ issues on a priority basis. As part of this initiative, a large meeting of traders was organized at Jandiala Guru under the leadership of Abhishek Bansal, Vice Chairman of the Trader Commission, Amritsar District, and Ramesh Awasthi, Trade Chairperson of Jandiala constituency.
A large number of traders participated in the meeting and shared their concerns, suggestions, and business-related issues. Detailed discussions were held regarding security concerns, market development, and various challenges faced by the trading community.
Special guests at the meeting included SSP Amritsar Rural Kawalpreet Singh Chahal and DSP Baljit Singh, who listened carefully to the concerns raised by traders.
Abhishek Bansal and Ramesh Awasthi addressed several issues on the spot and assured traders that other important matters would be forwarded to the Punjab Government for prompt resolution. They stated that the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is fully committed to the welfare of traders and the promotion of business activities across the state.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Kawalpreet Singh Chahal said that the safety and security of traders remain the top priority of the police administration. He informed that special arrangements are being made to ensure security in markets and commercial establishments and that every possible step is being taken to protect traders and their businesses. He urged traders to immediately report any suspicious activity or issue to the police.
During his address, Abhishek Bansal said that the government will now reach out directly to traders to understand and resolve their concerns. He appealed to traders across Punjab to approach the Trader Commission with any complaint or difficulty and assured them that every issue would be addressed on a priority basis.
He added that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann established the Trader Commission specifically to safeguard traders’ interests and ensure speedy resolution of their problems.
Among those present were SHO Harpal Singh, Sarabjit Dimpy, Rakesh Kumar, Aman Virk, Avtar Singh, Gautam Seth, Robin Prasanna, Sunil Pasi (President, Mandi), Charanjit Koda, Sunny Koda, Jagdish Singh Tarsikka, along with a large number of traders and distinguished citizens.
The traders appreciated the efforts of the Trader Commission and welcomed the initiative aimed at strengthening communication between the government and the business community.
