Amritsar, April 22 (K.L. Jit Walia) – A deeply emotional and spiritually enriched musical program was grandly organized at Prabhakar Senior Secondary School, Chheharta, on the occasion of the 54th birth anniversary of Ustad Master Sameer Rana, in his sacred memory.
The event was led by Principal Rajesh Prabhakar and Principal Rachna Prabhakar, while the आयोजन was managed under the supervision of his close disciple and renowned musician Kawaljeet Babblu, along with guidance from his son Lakshya Rana.
On this occasion, Ustad Sameer Rana was remembered as a classical vocalist, an experienced teacher, and an inspiring mentor who dedicated his entire life to the promotion of Indian classical music and educating the younger generation.
Renowned artists Pandit Deepan Raj (classical vocalist) and Siddharth Chatterjee (tabla artist) mesmerized the audience with their soulful performances, filling the atmosphere with spirituality.

More than 80 students and children participated in the program, making it a grand and emotional tribute. The event beautifully reflected the discipline, values, and musical legacy imparted by Ustad ji.
During the ceremony, around 20 prominent personalities from social and cultural fields were honored with mementos by his wife Saraswati Rana. Those honored included Councillor Satish Kumar Ballu, Punjab Media Times Chief Editor K.L. Jeet Walia, Neha Bali, Birkamal Preet Singh, noted musician Rahul (R.B.), Sonu Ji, Dr. Ashwini Kumar, Dr. Kiran, Rajesh Raju, anchor Madan Lal Madi, Nidhi, Principal Rajesh Prabhakar, GNDU Music Department Head Rajesh Sharma, Principal Kawaljeet Singh, Ustad Jaswant Singh, Jagmohan Kochhar, and many other dignitaries.
At the end of the program, the organizers announced that this musical tribute will now be held annually and expanded on a larger scale in the future, ensuring that the legacy of Ustad Sameer Rana lives on forever.“Great personalities never truly die; they continue to live on through their art and their disciples.”
