Amritsar, February 28 (K.L. Jit Walia): Jatinder Singh Moti Bhatia, Mayor of Amritsar, today released a special contact directory for the convenience of MLAs and municipal councillors, prepared with the support of representatives from ICICI Bank (Mall Road, Amritsar).
On this occasion, Mayor Bhatia stated that elected representatives often faced difficulties in contacting municipal corporation officials regarding ward-related complaints and government work. Keeping this issue in mind, the special directory was prepared in collaboration with ICICI Bank.
He explained that the directory contains contact numbers of all municipal corporation officers and employees, along with those of all councillors, to ensure quick and efficient resolution of public grievances. He emphasized that the primary objective of the directory is to strengthen coordination between officials and councillors, thereby accelerating administrative work and improving public services.
Councillor Dharamjeet Bobby (Ward No. 79), Councillor Jagmeet Singh Ghulli (Ward No. 32), Councillor Varinder Singh (Vicky Dutta) from Ward No. 56, Arvind Bhakkna (Ward No. 78), Councillor Vijay Kumar (Ward No. 70), and Councillor Vikas Gill (Ward No. 68) were also present at the event.
From ICICI Bank (Mall Road, Amritsar), Zonal Head Mr. Rajeev Bhatia, Regional Head Mr. Rohit Kundra, and Regional Head Sales Mr. Taranpreet Mehta were also specially present.
During the program, the dignitaries appreciated the initiative, stating that the directory would strengthen communication between the public and the administration and provide new momentum to the city’s development work.
