Providing Quality Healthcare Services to the General Public is the Main Objective: Dr. Parminder Singh
Ferozepur, September 10 (Rajiv Kumar): Dr. Parminder Singh has assumed charge as the new Civil Surgeon of Ferozepur. On his arrival at the Civil Surgeon’s Office, all Programme Officers and staff welcomed him by presenting a bouquet of flowers.
Dr. Parminder Singh has previously served at various positions in the Health Department and has worked towards providing quality healthcare services to the general public.
Dr. Parminder Singh began his career in the Health Department in 1995 by joining as a Medical Officer at the Government Health Institution, Manawala, District Ferozepur. He subsequently served in government hospitals across different districts of Punjab.
From 2004 to 2007, he completed his post-graduation in Forensic Medicine from Government Medical College, Patiala. He also completed his Senior Residency in the Department of Forensic Medicine at Government Medical College, Amritsar.
He also served as the District Immunization Officer in Fazilka. Since 2021, he had been serving as Senior Medical Officer at ESI Jalandhar. He has now been promoted and entrusted with the responsibility of Civil Surgeon, Ferozepur.
After assuming charge, Dr. Parminder Singh said that his primary objective would be to ensure the effective implementation of all government health programmes and provide quality healthcare facilities to the public at Aam Aadmi Clinics and government hospitals.
He said that he held a meeting with the staff and obtained information about various ongoing health programmes. He also issued a strict warning to those involved in food adulteration, stating that any kind of adulteration in food would not be tolerated. He assured that every possible effort would be made to ensure that people receive pure, safe and hygienic food items.
Dr. Parminder Singh further said that the Health Department would undertake awareness campaigns regarding the harmful effects of drug abuse. He also assured that every possible step would be taken to ensure that patients at de-addiction centres receive proper treatment and care.
He said that patients visiting government health institutions in Ferozepur for treatment would not be allowed to face unnecessary difficulties. He directed all staff members to perform their duties with complete dedication, sincerity and a spirit of service.
