CP Amritsar, Shri Harmanbir Singh Gill, IPS, personally inspected security arrangements at the spot
Amritsar, August 12 (Phuljit Singh Verpal): To further strengthen the law-and-order situation in Amritsar city and crack down on anti-social elements, a late-night Night Domination and special naka-checking operation was conducted under the leadership of Commissioner of Police Amritsar, Shri Harmanbir Singh Gill, IPS.
During the operation, special checkpoints were set up at various sensitive locations, major roads, entry and exit points and other important places across the city. Police teams thoroughly checked vehicles entering and leaving these areas.
CP Amritsar Shri Harmanbir Singh Gill, IPS, personally visited the checkpoints and monitored the deployment and duties of the police force. He directed officers and personnel to remain fully alert and vigilant during night hours and perform their duties with professionalism.
During the Night Domination operation, suspicious persons and vehicles were checked, vehicle documents were verified and appropriate legal action was taken against those found violating the law.
The Commissioner of Police also appreciated police officers and personnel who demonstrated excellent performance, alertness and professional commitment during the operation. They were encouraged with on-the-spot rewards.
CP Amritsar said that the alertness of the police force and the safety of citizens remain the top priority. He added that such Night Domination and checking operations will continue regularly to maintain law and order in Amritsar city.
He appealed to city residents to cooperate with the police and immediately inform the police by calling 112 about any suspicious activity or person.
